Legendary band Metallica is preparing to delight its fans in Bahrain
The history of Metallica began in 1981, when drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist-vocalist James Hetfield formed a band that would go on to become one of the most influential and commercially successful in the world of rock music. Over the years, the band has sold 110 million albums worldwide and performed on all seven continents. Their achievements include induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, numerous awards, including nine Grammy Awards.
Despite the lack of active radio support and large-scale advertising, Metallica has managed to win the love of the public thanks to its busy touring schedule and special relationship with fans. Albums such as Kill 'Em All (1983), Master of Puppets (1986) and Justice for All (1988) have become classics thanks to the tenacity of the musicians.
Often compared to Led Zeppelin, the band has become a symbol of resilience. Each of the members has overcome many challenges to keep the band together: tragedies, accidents, internal conflicts, drug and alcohol problems have not broken their spirit. Moreover, they have found themselves not only in music - in 2005, the entire band appeared in the popular animated series The Simpsons, and a year earlier, Hetfield and Ulrich voiced dragon characters for the Disney cartoon Dave the Barbarian.
