This winter, residents and visitors of Abu Dhabi will be able to enjoy the performance of the legendary band "Metallica"!
To date, Metallica have sold over 57 million albums in the US alone, with over 90 million sold internationally, making them one of the most successful heavy metal bands in the world. The name Metallica was suggested by the band's drummer when he invited James Hetfield to join the project. Their fast-paced rhythms, virtuoso playing, and powerful energy made the band one of the founding members of the "big four" of thrash metal, along with bands such as Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer. The band has released several multi-platinum albums, including their acclaimed 1991 album (commonly known as "The Black Album"), which has sold nearly 17 million copies in the US alone, making it the best-selling album of all time. Metallica have won numerous awards throughout their career, including nine Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
Early in their career, Metallica created special areas at concerts for fans to record their performances. In the 1980s, the band became known for their uncompromising style, but by 1991, they began releasing shorter tracks that attracted a wider audience while still maintaining their unique style.
The band has a full-time crew of 83 people who ensure the musicians are comfortable on tour. Each band member has their own personal chef and dentist, and Lars Ulrich even uses an assistant to work with his computer.
During their existence, the band has experienced many crises and triumphant moments. However, no one doubts that they are one of the greatest rock bands of our time. Tickets to the concert in Abu Dhabi – a chance to become part of the grand show of legendary rockers!
