Metallica to perform in Abu Dhabi for F1 Grand Prix for first time in 12 years!

On December 6, Metallica will perform on stage in the UAE for the third time. Their debut in the country took place in 2011 on Yas Island, and their second performance was a triumph, gathering full stands. Now, more than a decade later, they will delight their fans again with a concert in December 2025.

Metallica is deservedly considered one of the most influential and commercially successful bands in the heavy metal genre. Since their formation in 1981, they have sold over 150 million albums worldwide. Their latest work, the eleventh studio album "72 Seasons", was released in 2023, was warmly received by critics and was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Metal Album in 2024. The band is currently touring extensively with the M72 World Tour, which is now in its third year and continues to set crowd records, particularly in North America.

Post-race concerts by famous artists have become an integral part of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In previous years, such rock legends as Muse and Foo Fighters have performed on the Yas Marina stage. These events are always a success: over 190,000 spectators visited the Yas Marina circuit over the four days of the 2024 Grand Prix alone, many of whom came to see the concerts.
